Digging In!

Dont' forget to enter my Spooktackular Giveaway here!!

I haven't meant to ignore you. I think of you often. I think about how I need to create something new and show you.....but I've been working on some custom orders...making some "no need to dig a grave" spooky vampire favors for some one's Halloween party...which are Rottenly Good! {Is that an oxymoron?!} I think these would be perfect for a Twilight party too...don't you think?

I've also been working on an order for these cute treat bags for a special girl's classroom treat! I've Loved making these! The faux spiders are the best!! They would be so perfect for a Halloween party favor too!! {Both of these are available to order in my etsy store!}

We've also been working on a face lift for our bathroom! Since our budget is pretty small...we are painting and redecorating on a dime but its turning out too cute and when its done...I'll show you the before and after...Black Damask and Yellow Fun!! It is amazing what a little paint can do!!! I hope to be back later this week with something new to show you!

It Can Be...Something Simple!!!

Well, this post, it had to happen sometime this month. The month of September. The month that is reserved for bringing your attention to something...something scary. It's Childhood Cancer Awareness Month. Cancer is the #1 cause of death by disease for children and adolescents. Did you know that? Did you know that September was Childhood Cancer Awareness Month?? I've mentioned this before but maybe you forgot?! I don't forget. I never forget. Although sometimes I wish I could, I can't and so I don't want you to forget either. There are so many things that people can do to help. Simple things. Donate...your money, your time, your stuff, your craft or your knowledge to one of the many organizations aimed at helping Children with cancer and their families. Take a meal over to a Family going through it. Offer to babysit siblings. Clean their bathroom....anything.....These simple things can mean all the difference in the world.

Our Family is one of the more "fortunate" families. Kolten for the most part, is a pretty healthy young Man. Growing up with "battle" scars and Doctors appointments has not held him back. Some days I look at him with such admiration. I am amazed at what a courageous battle he fought for such a long time and he never complained or gave up. Even today he goes to check ups and follow ups smiling along the way. I often wonder if I had to do it, could I be nearly as strong as he is...I'm not so sure I could...and certainly not without complaining!! As you go about your days the rest of the month of September, please remember and ask yourself if there is anything you can do? It can be...something simple.
Hugs,

{Lost} Items from The Lab!!

I love a spooky Halloween! Okay...you know, I love any holiday where there is a fun treat needed! I've been working on some sweet Test Tube treats and this is the first set of them. Super cute Spider Eggs...stolen from the lab of course...which could cause a pandemic from scary black and orange spiders running around chewing on people...unless of course the "eggs" are consumed...

These would be so fun as a Halloween favor from a party?! I'm working on some other colors like purple and green...too! Spoooooky....Creepy Treats! {Love}
I can't wait until October 1st when I can start decorating the house! All these treats in my office and all this orange, black, purple and green...need a place to be! This is definitely the time of year where being on Weight Watchers is a little bit harder to do!! Are you excited about the upcoming Holiday Season? I'm sometimes in disbelieve that I will have to switch gears shortly and start working on Christmas projects for local boutiques and its only September!

{ Ribbon Love }

I love the look of this pile of hand dyed ribbon in fun Halloween colors. Since, I needed some cool ribbon for a treat I'm working and couldn't find just what I was looking for in my stash...I decided to make some! Love these colors and this ribbon is so fun to play with!! I threw some in my etsy store too....just for you!!! You can also dye your own ribbon...matching colors perfectly to your project.....I showed you how to here.

I can't wait to show you the treats....you'll have to wait and see till next week though....they are not quite ready!!
All this Halloween stuff is definitely making me fell "fallish". The last couple of days the weather has been chilly so today I made a huge pot of chili which is cooking in the crock pot..unfortunately {or not}..today is turning out to be a warm sunny day! I bought things to make pumpkin apple muffins too! {Yum} I love the cooler weather!
What are you working on? Are you in Fall mode yet?
I'm still gathering some things for a fun little giveaway too....so stayed tuned!!
Thank you to everyone who has left comments lately! They make me very Happy! I love to read your thoughts and feedback!

Deadly Morsels....

Back to work and school today! Did you have a fun 3 day weekend? I traveled to a candy store and have been working on some Halloween Treat Shovels....there is something about a shovel and a skeleton that work perfectly eerily together!

I have a few more styles sitting on my desk too...but I haven't taken pictures of them just yet....this was my attempt at spooky photography...lol....

I think I should have started working on Halloween stuff 2 months ago...I have so many ideas written down and so many things I want to make I doubt I will get even half of them done by the time Halloween rolls into town...
Here's Hoping we all have a Great and Productive day today! Cheers,
